Wellbeing

Jesus said ..

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:10

We can help ourselves to be well by

Connecting with others

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10 :24

Being active

Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever.

The Message 1 Timothy 4 :8

Taking notice of the present moment, not the past which we can't change or the future which we cannot control

2 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful

Colossians 4:2

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6 : 33

Keeping learning

28 ‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’

Matthew 11

Giving

42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

43 ‘You have heard that it was said, “Love your neighbour[i] and hate your enemy.” 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5
